I came to Kharkov in the Fall of 2011 to meet a lady I had been corresponding with. Prior to my arrival I’d arranged for an apartment and interpreter through a different service provider, everything was set and I was excited and counting down the days to my arrival.
However, once in Kharkov things quickly turned disastrous – instead of the lovely apartment I was expecting I was taken to a real dump of a place and, even worse, the girl I was expecting to fall in love with was nowhere to be found! Needless to say I was highly disappointed.
In trying to salvage my experience the next morning I looked for an alternative source of help and thankfully came across the http://www.kharkovguide.com.ua website. I phoned and spoke to Viktoria, explained my dilemma. Vika asked some questions and then said “don’t worry I will take care of everything!”
Within an hour Vika came to me and took me to a very comfortable, affordable and conveniently located new flat, helped me purchase some needed items and while I rested for a couple hours , had made arrangements for me to meet later that day with two very lovely ladies who were sincerely looking for a good man for marriage. Vika’s English is outstanding. She’s bright, thoughtful, fun, helpful beyond imagination and extremely pleasant to work with. Vika single-handedly turned a terrible situation into a very positive experience and for that I am eternally grateful. I now consider her a friend.

For me it is very convenient to know somebody speak a language and can help you in situations you may need help. The contact I have there is not only helpful in getting local things like tickets, restaurant recommendations sorted out, but is also a perfect translation service in all business and private situations. As Victoria knows history of Town quite good I enjoyed the time when she showed me interesting points of Kharkov.
Ich habe die Services von http://www.kharkovguide.com.ua mehrmals seit 2009 in Anspruch genommen. Sowohl bei privaten wie auch geschaeftlichen Uebersetzungen war das Service immer professionell. Victoria kennt Ihre Stadt wie aus der Westentasche und ist daher auch als Fremdenfuehrer ein sehr informativer Begleiter. Ob Theater, Restaurant, oder Sehenswuerdigkeit sie hat alle Informationen und teilt diese gerne in perfektem Englisch mit Ihren Gaesten.
Charkow als Stadt ist nicht leicht erreichbar (beste Verbindung ueber Wien) und hat typischen russischen Charakter. Die Stadt ist eine Universitaetsstadt und hat daher sehr viele junge Leute. Der Haupttreffpunkt fuer Einheimische ist die Gegend um den zentralen Park wo die Leute gerne nach Feierabend abhaengen, sich unterhalten, und den einen oder anderen Drink an einem der vielen Staende konsumieren. Bisher konnte ich auch spaet Nachts kein Sicherheitsrisiko erkennen weder in der Metro noch auf den Strassen des Zentrums.
Wohlfuehlfaktor und absolut empfehlenswert.
